Hold up, Bahraini university students; Unipal is here to rescue your money!

Hey university students, how about a platform that offers you, as students in Bahrain, awesome discounts on coffee, food, perhaps some mani-pedis, access to workshops and so much more?! Well, we’re here to inform you that your wishes have been granted with the newly launched startup “Unipal.”

Launched by the two founders Ali Al-Alawi and Ali Al-Shaer, the startup is a student-centric platform that aims to help students make the most of their university time. Unipal provides benefits and services dedicated to university students in Bahrain.

“Being a student is more than just studying and going to classes and we understand the importance of a student’s life outside the realms of the University campus,” Ali Al-Alawi explains the inspiration behind the platform.

The founders are building a platform for the everyday life of a student, especially when it comes to getting together spots, de-stressing services, burning calories, or if they just want some alone time. “It’s not just fancy restaurants that they can go to, nor is it just coffee shops.” Ali elaborates, “It also has salons, spas, gyms, and everything that a student imagines doing during the span of their university time.”

Unipal currently offers more than 85 vendors to students. This includes Dose, iWorld, Intercontinental Regency Health & Spa, Namaste Bahrain, Annada, Fingertips and way more. But the platform is more than just a “discount hub”, as Ali tells us. It will also include an Events page where students can view what events & workshops are available for them to attend.

“Being students ourselves not long ago, we’re huge advocates of privileging students,” Ali mentions. Since students’ budget differs from that of someone working full time, it’s only fair that students are provided with student offers.

“The concept we’re trying to introducing goes beyond just discounts. Students being the engine that prospers communities, benefiting them can only bring about better things in our community,” he says.

We don’t know about you, but Unipal makes us wish we’re back in university to enjoy all of these superb benefits! We encourage you to stay tuned as the founders are adding more gyms, spas, cafes, and restaurants by the day so students should keep an eye out! In addition, they’re adding more features to help students get a better chance at their career aspirations. “We’re only getting started,” Ali concludes.

Are you a merchant that would like to take part in supporting students? You can reach out to Unipal through their websites here. Best part? No costs are involved! You just provide a student discount or offer in return.
