The Body Jar team consists of Sara Shehab, her husband Ahmed Aljasim, and her brothers in law Abdul Aziz and Talal Aljasim. They’ve recently participated in the 4th edition of Tamkeen’s Mashroo3i competition that was held last August, and they secured the second place.
When asked about the team’s experience within Mashroo3i’s competition, Sara mentioned that one of the important learning outcomes they had gained is making a well-structured business plan. “We also learned how to break down our work and assign a task to every member of our team, work as a team and meet our deadlines,” Sara told Startup MGZN.
According to Sara, the competition allowed them to take their ambitions higher to the next level. Moreover, Deena Shabeb and Eman Bu Rashed, the team’s mentors were with them throughout it all. “They both added a lot to our knowledge and helped us form our business plan. They also motivated us throughout the journey,” she added.
What sets the Body Jar from other skincare products is the fact that they produce handmade nature and organic cosmetics that are made in Bahrain by Bahrainis.
