Cartoon Planet: Shaping Digital Artistry In Bahrain

“I graduated with an IT degree from the University of Bahrain – not with a high grade,” admitted Mohammed Al-Mahdi. “I avoided employment in the IT industry so I opted to focus on my startup Cartoon Planet.”

What started as a creative company for short comic strips became a well-known Digital Art training program.

“The comic stripe failed to get funding and acceptance from the market,” said Mohammed. “But I noticed that Bahrain had talented digital artists who are working in harsh conditions that can threaten their creativity.”

“I am taking the artists in Bahrain seriously by training the talented ones and improving those with potential. We target the creative youth – mainly university students and even kids above 10 years old.”

“I will always be helpful to artists who come to Cartoon Planet and happily contribute in shaping their future.”

Digital art certainly is in for a bright future in Bahrain.
