Bare Chocolates: Creating Flavors To Bridge Cultures Together

Bare Chocolates was not meant to be ordinary. Born from the mind of siblings who grew up in a family business of chocolates and sweets, it is meant to satisfy more than a sweet tooth.

“Growing up to Tariq Pastries gave me a taste for fine ingredients and unusual flavor combinations,” narrated May Mahmoud. “I lived in Paris where I trained as a pastry chef at the Cordon Bleu. Through those experiences, I realized how food can serve as a bridge between cultures.”

“It was a dream shared by my brother Tariq and I, to create the Middle East’s first organic and fairtrade chocolate bar,” she said. “We decided to start with the launch of a small selection of flavors that would appeal to diverse consumers. We are constantly experimenting with new flavors that reflect the Gulf’s culinary traditions.”

“Bare Chocolates is the first Organic and Fairtrade chocolate bar in the Middle East,” said May. “Our founding principle is to produce the finest artisanal chocolate bars in the region in an entirely ethical and sustainable manner. We want to inspire good health through great tasting chocolate bars.”
