The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Bahrain recently announced that it has started the preparations for the “International Entrepreneurs Investment Forum” which will be hosted in Bahrain in January, 2014. The Forum is open to entrepreneurs from around the globe to explore possibilities of cooperation and joint investments with potential counterparts.
The Forum will play a vital role for developmental organizations and funds to share best practices between international experts, officials from the public and private sectors, including line ministers, chambers, federations and entrepreneurship associations, academicians and researchers.
It is being organized by the General Union of Arab Chambers, UNIDO through the support of the Islamic Development Bank, Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, Kaufman Foundation, AG-FUND and others.
Objectives
The major objectives of this Forum are the following:
- Develop a platform for entrepreneurs from around the globe to access and promote their investment opportunities, thus leading to joint cooperation and partnerships.

Deliberate upon issues related to entrepreneurship development, youth employment, enterprise creation and enterprise growth. In addition, to share best practices on means to encourage and motivate young potential entrepreneurs towards an entrepreneurial career.

Disseminate lessons from the cases of successful programs and tools.

Deliberate upon issues related to the development of added value service institutions and optimal support structures.

Organize an entrepreneurs investment platform, and arrange one-to-one bilateral meetings between entrepreneurs in order to facilitate partnerships and collaboration.
