Zain Bahrain launches “Smart Branch” – the first self-service machine in the Kingdom

Zain Bahrain, a leading telecoms operator in the Kingdom introduces “Smart Branch” self-service machines after the success received from Zain Bahrain revamped mobile application and the digital transformation that Zain Bahrain implemented to increase customer adoption of digital self-care channels and to continue its efforts to provide the best customer experience

Zain Bahrain is the first telecom company in the Kingdom to launch the “Smart Branch”, a self-service machine that allows customers to purchase new lines such as pre-paid, post-paid and home broadband plans direct without the need to talk to Zain Bahrain representative. The new “Smart Branch” service will be available at all Zain Bahrain branches soon.

In addition, the “Smart Branch” will allow Zain customers to replace their SIM cards, generate eSIM (QR) codes and view Zain Bahrain latest available devices all through the interactive screen which supports reading Bahrain Smart ID cards with validating fingerprint feature.

Zain Bahrain has collaborated with Payment International Enterprise (PIE) and CrediMax to launch the new one-stop “Smart Branch” self-service machine. PIE is a leading FinTech company in the Kingdom, specializing in payment solutions and payment innovation. PIE is licensed by Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and offers the full value chain of cashless payment including various types of prepaid products for the banking and telecom sectors.

Zain Bahrain “Smart Branch” aims to make the experience quicker, more interactive and customers will be able to complete various services at their own convictions. Among the new interactive feature of the smart branch, customers will be able to find out all relevant information about Zain services such as pre-paid, post-paid and home broadband plans, as well as being able to pay their bills or recharge their prepaid lines; accepting Bahraini and Saudi cash, debit and credit cards as payment options. All transactions are completed automatically and aligned with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) and Zain’s Bahrain policies.
