Youth Pioneer Society Commences The First Level of Its Entrepreneurship Development Program “Chance 2017”

Last Wednesday, the Youth Pioneer Society commenced the first level of its entrepreneurship development program “Chance 2017”, by holding an induction day about the program with the participants in Riyadat Mall. 

The Program Director, Amira Mahmood, pointed out that the 29 participants this year were chosen from 37 applicants who were evaluated through a panel interview with business professionals, including: Sonya Janahi – Deputy Chairperson & CEO; The Living Concepts and Maya La Chocolaterie, Khalid Salim – Managing Director of Emdadat, and Ahmed Al-Saloum – Deputy Chairman of the SMEs Committee in the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Ms. Mahmood added that the program will run until May, and it will include a series of workshops, seminars, and field visits, in addition to coaching and mentoring sessions by a group of trainers, experts and entrepreneurs, which will enable and assist the program’s participants to present solid and professional business plans.

 Ms. Mahmood explained that the program is organized this year by the Youth Pioneer Society in strategic partnership with various organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Tamkeen, Bahrain Development Bank, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Capital Knowledge, SME Development Society of Bahrain. Additionally, the program is supported by media partnership with Alayam Newspaper, Startup Bahrain, Bahrain News, and Bahrain This Week, in additional to creative partnership with Pixelated Photography and Mievento Creative Hub.
