Youth Pioneer Society announced the launch of its entrepreneurship program “Chance”

The Youth Pioneer Society announced the commencement of registration to its program “Chance”, which the society launches for the first time this year after receiving a the long-term development program grant from the Ministry of Social Development in 2014. The program aims to develop the entrepreneurship spirit among the ambitious Bahraini youth through providing the program’s participants with the chance to get a two-and-a-half month training with a group of trainers, mentors and young successful entrepreneurs and learn from their expertise. This program is provided in a strategic partnership with a group of well-reputed organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain such as Bahrain Development Bank, Zain Bahrain, Capital Knowledge Institute, Seef Business Center and Bahrain Small & Medium Enterprises Society. Amira Mahmood, the program’s director, stated that “Chance” program is one of many training programs provided by the Youth Pioneer Society, and that the society’s mandate is to continuously create awareness among the Bahraini Youth about the available opportunities and how to benefit from such opportunities in a way that would also develop the society in various aspects. The “Chance” program starts on 1st April 2015 and it is divided to three stages. The first stage starts with a number of workshops – delivered by professional experts – about entrepreneurship and business opportunities, market research and requirements, business planning, communication and presentation skills. At the end of the first stage, the participants will be given the chance to prepare a market research, which will be evaluated by a specialized panel of jury. 30 participants will qualify from the first stage to the second stage, where they will attend introductory seminars about various institutions that supports entrepreneurial projects along with awareness seminars on subjects such as marketing, financial management, creative thinking, branding and marketing strategy. Then the participants will qualify to the third and last stage, where they – in addition to attending a seminar on personal development – will meet with a selected group of young Bahraini entrepreneurs to learn about the stories of their startups and successes. At this stage, the participants will be actively involved in a number of group consulting sessions and individual mentorship sessions with a selection of expert trainers and mentors, where each participant will prepare a comprehensive business plan that will be evaluated by a specialized panel of jury.
