Vezeeta raised US $1.5 million fund and plans to expand to Jordan and Lebanon

Vezeeta, an online digital health system launched in 2011, for patients to check and book appointments with doctors by speciality, area, and fees, has raised extra  US$1.5 million from three international investors to enlarge its services to Jordan and Lebanon.

Going back in time, January 2017, Vezeeta raised  US$5 million from regional and international investors in a Series B funding round for enlarging across the MENA region.This US$6.5 million fund, will allow Vezeeta to launch in Lebanon and Jordan

Rami Adwan, Endeavor Jordan mentor, will be the region’s general manager and his job will be to connect a large number of patients to healthcare practitioners through rapid and easy only appointment booking

“We believe that it all starts with our talent and each country’s leadership,” Amir Barsoum, Vezeeta’s cofounder and CEO said to Thomson Reuters Zawya. He added, “Employee empowerment and ownership are the keys behind our success story. We started off with four employees and today we have reached 150 and counting as we continue to grow and expand regionally. Appointing Rami speaks miles about where Vezeeta is going today and its potential in the region.”
