Three startups have just graduated from Brinc MENA Accelerator program, here’s everything you need to know about them

Three startups teams have graduated as the first batch of Brinc MENA Accelerator Program in Manama, August 9th.

In May 2018, Brinc MENA launched its first program in Bahrain in partnership with Tamkeen. Brinc Accelerator Program is an immersive, 4-month program for early-stage connected hardware & IoT startups, resulting in a ‘looks-like, feels-like’ prototype and a demo day. It combines online education with onsite training, 1:1 support and access to investors, manufacturers and industry experts. Below you can find out more about our graduates.

1) Time Control Technologies: A Company dedicated to enabling more effective and efficient project work for contractors in their HR & accounting departments, enables businesses to monitor the time and productivity of their workers. By incorporating an automated software platform with wearable hardware devices, this automation allows them to evaluate quality attributes of their workers, enabling them to implement policies and practices that increase efficiency and productivity in all projects and reduce overspending costs related to low staff productivity.

2) Smart Nakheel: A technology company creating hardware and software solutions to solve one of the major problems in the agricultural sector across the Middle East: the presence of “RED PALM WEEVIL” infestations in palm trees. The FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) estimated that over $500Million USD is lost annually due to red palm weevil infestations, Nakheel enables early detection of Red Palm Weevil in palm trees. Using these sensors in farms and agriculture can save the government millions of dollars lost from infected trees. Smart Nakheel intends to work closely with the Bahraini government to address this widespread problem.

3) Nabdaa Bahrain: Is a company established in Bahrain with a goal of creating a smart trolley and IoT solution called ‘ALGO,’ designed to transform the in-store shopping experience, with a focus on grocery retailers and hypermarkets, this will happen through converting traditional shopping trolleys into smart ones. There will no longer be a need for queuing for the checkout, and this also leads to huge savings for the outlets, eliminating the need for check-out lanes.
