This Moroccan bus booking platform raises over $20,000 in funding!

Moroccan bus booking platform, Lagare.ma just raised ~$217,000 in funding. The startup didn’t share any information about the investor except for the fact that the funding came from an international private equity group,

The startup, Lagare.me was launched back in 2014 by Issam Darui, and it currently includes over 150 national destinations and 7 European destinations: Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. What the startup basically does is that it allows users to find, compare and book city bus tickets online using their platform which is available in more than 7 languages. The platform sells users bus tickets in partnership with more than 60 transportation companies. In addition, Lagare also has an application that you can download on your phone.

Issam Darui, the Founder and CEO of Lagare.ma told MENAbytes that the startup will be using the investment to accelerate its growth in Morocco and expand to nearby countries. So far, the startup is planning to expand to Tunisia, Cameroon, and Egypt while also having plans to launch in other African countries as well.
