Third startup mornings proves to be loved amongst attendees in Bahrain

Startup Bahrain held its third casual get-together for businesses and entrepreneurs in which Sheikh Hisham bin Mohamed AlKhalifa, Bahrain Development Bank’s DGM, was the honorary guest speaker talking about his ideas on the entrepreneurship scene and culture in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The event took place at the Bahrain Business & Professional International Women Club, in partnership with Tamkeen and Bahrain Development Bank and was attended by more than 50 startups and entrepreneurs.

Startup Mornings is a free-to-attend, monthly get together for startups and entrepreneurs aiming to host the exchange of ideas, inspiring of others, and the recounting of failures. The event’s attendees will also be in the company of a guest speaker, all over breakfast and coffee in a casual, ‘be-yourself’ environment.

“Entrepreneurship is not an occupation, it’s a way of life.” stated Sh. Hesham bin Mohammed AlKhalifa, in his speech to the audience.

“Our third Startup Mornings continued to prove what we felt all along. People love to get together amongst friends, share their experiences, and have their voices heard, all within a casual environment. Startup Mornings has presented itself to many of its attendees as a great networking opportunity with other businesses, clientele, policy makers, and official representatives from the entities that support entrepreneurs.” said Ahmed AlSawafiri, founder of Startup Bahrain and Startup Mornings.

“The most memorable of memories in a home are usually the ones created around a dining table; conversations flowing easy, the retelling of one’s day – ease, comfort; a setting where friends are turned into family, and family into friends. This is what we want Startup Mornings to feel like for others, casual and friendly, amongst friends and family. It is where Bahrain becomes the home we want it to be, even if for a little while.”, Bader Kamal, Startup Bahrain’s designer explains.

Startup Mornings is being organized by the dedicated team behind “Startup Bahrain”, Bahrain’s first and only digital publication for startups and entrepreneurs in partnership with Tamkeen and Bahrain Development Bank and the Bahrain Business & Professional International Women Club.
