The Youth Pioneer Society Concludes the Second Phase of Its “Chance” Program

The Youth Pioneer Society concluded on Thursday, May 14, 2015 the second phase of its program “Chance”, which commenced on April 1, 2015 and continues until June 10, 2015. The program aims to develop the entrepreneurship spirit among the Bahraini ambitious youth by providing them with the opportunity to participate with and get trained by a group of professional trainers, mentors and young entrepreneurs.

Sheikh Hisham bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Deputy General Manager, Non-Financial Services Division in the Bahrain Development Bank, kicked off the second phase of the program with an inspiring speech addressed to the program’s participants about the importance of entrepreneurship in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The participants then attended a series of introductory seminars about the various entities that supports the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Bahrain. These seminars were delivered by representatives from the Ministry of Industry & Commerce, Tamkeen, the Bahrain Development Bank. Additionally, the participants attended lectures focused on the principles of marketing, e-marketing and financial management, provided by Eman Burashed, Dr. Ahmed Nasser, and Emma Almansoori respectively.

The second phase of the program included also a workshop titled “Be Awesome”, which focused on the importance of three pillars in the business world: creative thinking, business branding and marketing strategy, and was conducted by Dr. Mohammed Buheji, Moath Al Bastaki and MP Roua Al-Hayki respectively. The workshop also included series of Bahraini entrepreneurship success stories told by Obai & Hill, Day N Age, and Maya La Chocolatier.

Amira Mahmoud, the program director, commented: “The “Chance” program is a real opportunity for the participants that helps them succeed in achieving their entrepreneurship goals, and ultimately will reflect positively on the economic development of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The program is one of many training programs provided by the Youth Pioneer Society, and that the society’s mandate is to continuously create awareness among the Bahraini Youth about the available opportunities and how to benefit from such opportunities in a way that would also enhance the Economic Vision 2030.
