The MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition is hosting its 11th Edition in a GCC country, find out where

The MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) Pan Arab just announced that it’s going to be hosting its 11th edition of its program in the Sultanate of Oman on April, 19th 2018.

The announcement was made during a press conference that was held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Muscat, Oman which was attended by Representatives from various institutions that are supporting this competition.

This year’s competition is going to be held again in partnership with Community Jameel, and the strategic partners Riyada, Omantel, Oman Technology Fund and Zain Group.

Hala Fadel, Chair of the board of MITEF Pan Arab mentioned in her speech the importance in supporting and empowering the local talents of the Arab youth to ensure societal development. “We proceed with the annual MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition for the 11th year in a row. Throughout the years it has become a platform for young talents to embark on their careers, express their ideas and achieve them on the ground. The closing ceremony will be held in Sultanate of Oman to be the incubator for hundreds of young people and entrepreneurs in their journey towards discovery, development, and success,” she said.

The MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition opened its registration from the 3rd of September till the 5th of December. Interested startups can register here.

The semi-finalist teams will be announced on the 12th of January 2018 and will compete for a cumulative of cash prizes worth US$160,000.
