The Labour Fund “Tamkeen” announced the launch of its new online portal, which will accept applications for the support programs from both individuals and enterprises starting Tuesday, 15th March 2022. The public will be able to access the portal through Tamkeen’s website.
H.E. Husain Mohamed Rajab, Chief Executive of Tamkeen said, “We are committed to continuing to build on our past successes through our 2021-2025 strategy in order to ensure that Bahrainis remain the employee of choice locally and internationally and that the private sector is the engine of growth in the national economy. Our strategy was developed with productivity in mind, ensuring that we are generating real impact and economic growth in the local economy.”
“Most recently, we underwent a comprehensive transformation process which included 50 initiatives that focused on re-designing our support schemes and creating innovative programs that drive real impact, in line with the national economic recovery plan. Our economic landscape is changing and adapting to that change is necessary for continued growth and development.”
His Excellency continued, “We will continue to provide support through our programs to customers across all sectors, based on specific eligibility criteria, while also focusing on incentivizing high-potential sectors that contribute to the growth and sustainability of the national economy, in line with the Kingdom’s national economic recovery plan.”
His Excellency further reaffirmed, “We are committed to evaluating our programs and services to ensure their ongoing development based on national priorities and the potential for growth across various segments so that we can develop our human capital and drive the highest potential impact in the local economy.”
The new programs are linked to specific and transparent evaluation criteria based on key performance indicators. The programs were launched gradually in February through a pilot phase in order to evaluate the portal and ensure that the application process is as per the set plan.
The launch of the new portal is a continuation of Tamkeen’s efforts to improve the customer experience and provide the highest levels of service, where all applicants will be able to apply directly through the portal efficiently and with ease, and without the need for an intermediary.
