unbound Bahrain witnessed a large number of attendees, with over 1500 people and more than 50 startups exhibiting at the event. Majority of the entrepreneurs and experts from around the MENA region traveled to Bahrain to partake in this international festival.
The event was a perfect opportunity for startups and entrepreneurs to network with one another, find investors, participate in a hackathon organized by American Express and Angel Hack, in addition to FACE-OFF ON THE TRACK pitching competition organized by C5 Accelerate and Brinc.
StartUp Bahrain Week is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Chairman of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) and is organized by EDB, the community-led initiative StartUp Bahrain, in strategic partnership with Tamkeen.
The week kicked off on March 3rd with the GCC Game Conference, followed by My Startup Bootcamp by CH9 and YoStartups on Sunday and Monday, in addition to Rowad’s Majlis on Sunday, and Startup Evenings by Startup MGZN on Monday. On Tuesday, the international conference “Follow The Leaders” by Thinkers & Doers was held, and it ended with the unbound Bahrain festival on Wednesday and Thursday.
