Seedstars MENA Summit is coming to Beirut for the first time

For the first time ever, Seedstars World will be hosting their annual MENA Summit in Lebanon, Beirut, from November 27 to November 29. Hurry up and get your tickets now!

Supported by Antwork and Speed@BDD, the Seedstars MENA Summit will begin with a 2-day private Seedstars Bootcamp where the winning startups will receive some awesome training, including a mix of theoretical and practical content provided by the Seedstars investment team on growth models and acquisition channels.

Not only that, but this year’s edition is organized in partnership with touch, the leading mobile telecommunications and data operator in Lebanon, and Bank Audi. Know what this means? There will be a one-day private bootcamp known as the “touch Bootcamp”, for the 12 startups incubated at touch’s TIP program, in addition to the three runner-ups from the Seedstars Beirut competition on the 27th of November.

Furthermore, Bank Audi will be hosting The Beyond Banking Hackathon for 40 participants who will generate, develop, and present innovative solutions to multiple banking and fintech challenges put forward by Bank Audi.

But the fun doesn’t end here. On the 29th, there will be a private investor forum where the MENA finalists will get the chance to have one-on-one meetings with 25+ local and regional investors.

Curious about the speakers? Well, Mr. Emre Gurkan, touch’s CEO, will be giving the event’s first keynote speech, which will be followed by an Open Talk by touch about “Startups’ role in corporate and family business innovation” to kick off the tech and entrepreneurship discussions. Additionally, Mrs. Ayah Bdeir, founder of littleBits, Mr. Walid Hanna, Middle East Venture Partners’ CEO, amongst others, will discuss fundraising and scaling beyond MENA. Last but not least, the startups will also get to pitch in front of the audience, so make sure you grab your tickets and come support your favorite startup!

Omar Barakat, Seedstars MENA Associate, commented on the Seedstars initiative saying: “In 2017, we managed to bring together more than 300 attendees, between entrepreneurs, corporates, investors, mentors, government authorities, and startup enthusiasts. We organized around 80 meetings between startups, investors, and mentors and we felt overwhelmed by the positive feedback we had from all participants. This year, we aim to grow and offer a unique disruptive hands-on experience to 400 attendees!”
