During an official meeting with senior government officials, prominent businesspeople, media professionals, and journalist, His Royal Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of Bahrain, called for a complete change in the local industrial development to promote domestic and international investment opportunities in Bahrain.
According to the HRH the Prime Minister, the government should encourage the involvement of private sector in the industrial development. He also mentioned that there were all conditions in place to upgrade the industrial sector and benefit from agricultural and livestock products in the Kingdom.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who has made remarkable progress towards economic development, earning international and institutional respect. Talking about further economic development, the ruler emphasized the efforts of the government to amend the legislation accordingly, so that it could boost investments. The Prime Minister has also encouraged the local businesspeople to speak up and to propose ideas to diversify the national economy. As a part of the process, he advised the members of the cabinet to optimize bureaucracy and services cater for citizens’ needs so they can achieve their aspirations.
He also confirmed he would personally follow-up on the execution of plans to improve the business environment in the country. The ruler also did not miss to highlight the national competencies, calling to invest in them to boost Bahrain’s good reputation even more.
HRM the Prime Minister also emphasized on the country’s success to overcome all challenges and promote security and stability at all levels. He expressed once again his readiness to monitor the needs of the cities and smaller villages and to ensure their economic prosperity and development. The Prime Minister encourages his cabinet to do more field visits across the Kingdom to make sure the needs of the population are met.
