New SADAD-UAE Exchange tie-up allows 24 x 7 money transfer and bill payment

UAE Exchange, one of the world’s largest money transfer, forex, and payment solution brands, has joined forces with payment gateway firm SADAD in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This new tie-up is designed to enable a 24×7 domestic money transfer service using self-service kiosks throughout the country.

The new service was launched on the weekend at Downtown Rotana, Manama. The event was participated by senior officials from both UAE Exchange and SADAD, alongside a slew of associates, partners, and UAE Exchange customers.

Note that this is a first-of-a-kind platform rolled out by an exchange house in the Kingdom. In addition to allowing round-the-clock money transfer option, these self-service kiosks will also enable customers to pay their bills for various utility services.

In order to use these self-service kiosks to transfer money, customers first need to register themselves and their beneficiaries with UAE Exchange. The registration process serves as the company’s Know Your Customer (KYC) mechanism.

“The self-service kiosks are strategically placed across the Kingdom of Bahrain in locations that enable accessibility and customer convenience. The kiosks are designed for ease of use coupled with maximum security and allow pre-registered customers to send money anytime, with just a few simple taps on the kiosks’ touch-screens. This initiative is yet another way that UAE Exchange is bringing value to its customers in the Kingdom,” Vineesh Kumar, Executive Director and General Manager of UAE Exchange in Bahrain, said in a statement, as reported by BizBahrain.

UAE Exchange had rolled out a similar purpose-based payment service in collaboration with SADAD earlier this year. This service was designed to let residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain pay their bills with local service providers at one of the 12 UAE Exchange branches in the country.

These included: Viva Postpaid, Viva Prepaid, Zain Prepaid Electricity and Water Authority bills, Batelco Prepaid, and Batelco Postpaid.
