Medical Tourism Startup Oxa Medical Gets Backing From UAE Based Idein Ventures

According to Inc42 magazine, Hyderabad-based healthcare startup, Oxa Medical has raised an undisclosed amount in Seed funding from UAE-based Idein Ventures on March 23rd. This investment marks the VC’s first investment in the healthcare industry in India.

The company plans to use the funds to build its technology stack and build operations in Hyderabad. The startup was founded in December 2016 by Shashank Shrivastava and focuses on healthcare treatment globally through individually-curated medical tourism packages. Prior to founding the company, Shashank worked with PlaySolar and Tata Power. He also founded Sunjeevanam, a solar purchase and installation company.
