Leading premium schools group Inspired just acquired a school in Bahrain, find out who and why

Inspired, a leading global operator of premium schools, announced that it has acquired 100% of the British School of Bahrain (BSB) which provides outstanding education to over 2,500 students in Bahrain.

The addition of BSB will expand Inspired’s portfolio to over 30 schools in 10 countries, providing premium education to over 24,000 students and it will enable BSB students and staff to benefit from the support of world-leading educational experts and access to state of the art learning platforms.

As a sole owner of BSB, Inspired will look to bring its global best practices to make the school the best in the region and it will actively evaluate expansion opportunities for the school in Bahrain due to the increasing demand for premium education.

Nadim M Nsouli, Founder & Chairman of Inspired, commented, “We look forward to welcoming the students, parents, and staff of BSB into our international family of schools. We believe this represents an exciting development for both Inspired and BSB and look forward to working with the BSB leadership team to build upon the schools’ impressive history of providing families in Bahrain with a world-class international education.”

Mrs. Julie Anne Gilbert, Head of School, stated, “We are excited to join the Inspired community of schools that will provide multiple opportunities for growth for BSB’s teachers and students.”

Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) worked with Inspired during the setup process and will continue to support the growth and expansion plans of Inspired in the Kingdom.

Dr. Simon Galpin, Managing Director of Bahrain EDB said: “We are delighted to support Inspired and we will continue to work with them to expand and grow as a premium and innovative school operator.

“Education is a core pillar for economic development and a key driver for innovation. Human capital is a key asset for the Kingdom and one which we are interested in further developing. We at the Bahrain EDB are excited about the potential for new providers to avail of the opportunities available in the education sector to help build on that asset.”
