INJAZ Bahrain students participate in the first JA Global alumni Conference

INJAZ Bahrain recently sent a delegation of alumni students, sponsored by The Labor Fund Tamkeen, to participate in the first JA Global Alumni Conference held in Vienna. The four-day forum brought together JA alumni from more than 60 countries, who took part in a global networking event and several entrepreneurship activities.

In an aim to bring future pioneers from all over the world together, JA provided attendees access to a unified digital platform that allows them to communicate and stay updated of upcoming activities.

Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairwoman of INJAZ Bahrain expressed her pleasure at Bahrain delegation participation in this conference. 

“It is great to acknowledge our accomplishments and be proud of INJAZ Bahrain’s Alumni achievements. We are keen to continue representing Bahrain in such international events and leave a significant mark through our contributions,” H.H. Shaikha Hessa pointed out.

Tamkeen’s Chief Executive Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi lauded the INJAZ Bahrain alumni’s participation in this international event. He stressed the importance of this exposure in shaping the leading skills of the Bahraini youth as well as showcasing the Bahraini talents’ and experience in different sectors to the world.   

The first day of the conference hosted Mr. Hansis Hansmann, known as the Best European Early Stage Investor, to give a speech that highlighted entrepreneurship and the importance of choosing the right team before investing in any business. Mr. Hansmann recounted his many years of experience and sowed the seeds of hope and motivation in the minds of participants. The first day concluded with a traditional Austrian dinner and a gathering at the networking garden, where conference members exchanged views and shared their experiences. 

On the second day, students were invited to attend a session where key-note speakers delivered inspirational speeches, entrepreneurship insights and discussed how to exploit advanced technology in the business sector through various methods that serve the purpose of the entrepreneur. Participants were also given the opportunity to attend two lectures of their choice to learn about topics such as artificial intelligence, public speaking and the importance of change in the work environment.

To ensure attendees acquired both practical skills and knowledge, they were invited on a trip to different companies in Vienna, aiming to learn more about the working community. The fam trip provided attendees with the opportunity to network with experts and decision makers.  

The final day of the conference concluded with a variety of discussion sessions and inspirational speeches. During the conference, JA Worldwide Alumni Chairperson, Sarah Rapp, announced the launch of a global digital platform for INJAZ graduates from all around the world to bring them together and provide them with opportunities and updates.

Participants were presented with three golden opportunities at the conference: 

Firstly, the opportunity to compete for a sponsored master’s degree in business administration in New York. Secondly, the chance to win the FedEx Innovative financial prize for the most innovative business idea. And Finally, a resume audit by an international expert.

Masod Popal, a participant from JA Sweden commented on INJAZ Bahrain’s participation:

“I am proud of the way INJAZ Bahrain has represented their homeland, brining along the kingdom’s hospitality and generosity all the way to Vienna.” 

Yousef Al Isaa, INJAZ Bahrain Alumni,  commented: “It has been a wonderful experience and a perfect opportunity for our students to benefit from world-class keynote speakers, alumni panels, and entrepreneurial workshops. It was amazing to know that other participants remembered INJAZ Bahrain delegates from the forum held last year in Mexico. This conference was a great way to re-connect and network with others at a global level.”

The achievements of the Bahraini delegation included choosing Sheikha Sulaiman an Alumni of INJAZ, to deliver a Pitch Speech during the conference. In addition, Esra Haji, Hassan Alkhlou and Shaikha Bouhaimed won the highest points of interaction on the unified digital platform.

The Bahrain delegation consisted of 11 people: Monia Nabil Saeed, Fatima Ahmed Al Zayani, Israa Hassan Haji, Hassan Alkhlou, Ali Hassan Abdulnabi, Yousef Khalid Alissa, Alaa Mohammed Al-Shafei, Shaikha Suleiman Buhaimed. Safeya Janahi (Operations officer in Tamkeen), Talal Al-Ansari and Israa Janahi from INJAZ Bahrain accompanying the team. 

The Bahraini delegation was highly admired by the conference participants and appreciated by the staff and organizers for its exceptional participation and efforts at the JA Global Alumni Conference.
