Hope Ventures, the investment arm of Hope Fund, hosted an event to introduce entrepreneurs and potential participants to the highly anticipated second season of its hit entrepreneurial-themed reality show, Beban.
During the event, Hope Ventures welcomed over 50 entrepreneurs of high caliber, along with some participants of the first season at their premises as they networked, gained more insights on the program, and were enthused by the existence of such a platform that invests and supports Bahraini youth and their entrepreneurial endeavors: as well as the possibility of their taking part of it and showcasing Bahraini innovation.
While Hope Ventures are still accepting applications for Beban’s second season, the deadline for applying is nearing as it falls on the 30th of April. Interested applicants should head over to Hope Ventures’ website, and apply through the ‘entrepreneurs’ section on the Beban page.
Beban season 2 is envisaged to be bigger and hosts a more significant number of entrepreneurs to give the opportunity of securing immediate equity investments to a larger demographic than its first season.
It is noteworthy to mention that the first season resulted in a commitment of 5 deals worth USD 1,000,000+ in total and USD 120,000’s worth of advance orders.
On the other hand, Beban highlights for its viewers that its participants are winners by default. The first season has reaped valuable strategic opportunities separate from financial investment for its participants, including a trip to Huawei’s headquarters in China, marketing and PR services offered by GMI and Traccs, as well as dedicated booths at Bahrain’s most prominent shopping mall; Bahrain City Centre, to name a few.
