Hope Ventures announces the launch of its television program “Beban”

Hope Ventures, the investment arm of Hope Fund, announced the launch of its Television Program, “Beban,” starting Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 6PM. The program will air on Bahrain Television (BTV) and on Shahid, as the first Bahraini television show on the region’s popular Arabic streaming platform founded by media giant MBC Group.

Beban is set to showcase a range of outstanding businesses by Bahraini entrepreneurs, providing them with a platform to pitch to a panel of 4 local and regional investors, with the aim of securing funding and developing their businesses for regional and international scalability. His Excellency, Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs and Chairman of Hope Fund, will be joining the investment panel as a member and investment representative for Hope Ventures.

The program is made up of 4 episodes, set to air every Wednesday on a weekly basis throughout the month of February. Each episode will feature 3 entrepreneurs from select industries, including the Technology, Manufacturing, Sports and Food & Beverage sectors. Participants on Beban have been shortlisted from over 200 applicants through a rigorous selection criteria based on each business’s concept and plan viability, revenue generation ability, and potential for regional or international scalability. 

Commenting on the launch, General Manager of Hope Ventures, Fajer Al Pachachi, said: “After months of preparation and hard work, we are pleased to announce the launch of our Beban Program. Through “Beban”, we aim to highlight promising entrepreneurs and providing them with the opportunity to pitch for investment, in the hopes of expanding and developing their operations internationally. Hope has played a pivotal role in supporting participants by providing them access to strategic investors who may open up doors of opportunity including expertise and business partnerships.”

The first episode of the Program will feature a variety of technological businesses, whereas the second episode will focus on the Food and Beverage Industry. The third episode will focus on the Sports sector, followed by the fourth, and final, episode which will focus on the Manufacturing industry.
