Bahrain is considered to be one of the promising countries with goldmine opportunities for startups and entrepreneurs especially since the government and the private sector has been playing an effective role in providing an array of services and opportunities for startups to launch and expand, according to CNN’s “Market Place Middle East”report that was aired on TV.
His Excellency, Khalid Al Rumaihi the CEO of Economic Development Board also commented during the report stating: “We look at Bahrain’s cost competitive base. We’re about 40% cheaper, whether you look at rent, labor, permits, what have you than neighbouring cities and if we can focus that on high value-added sectors, technology being one, but it’s financial services, its logistics then that can be a very unique selling point for the country.”
The report also highlighted the fact that even though Bahrain is small, yet it is still capable of providing a suitable base for startups and other businesses. Additionally, Bahrain’s in a very strategic geographical location, especially since there’s a causeway linking Saudi and Bahrain.
