GCC Tech Entrepreneurs and Startups Eligible to Benefit From $30m Seed Fund!

Tech entrepreneurs and startups in the GCC countries might be able to benefit from ‘500 Falcons’, which is a $30 million MENA seed fund from US-based venture capital firm 500 Startups and Qatar Foundation Research & Development (QF R&D).

Hasan Haider, 500 Startups partner said that they have partnered up with QF R&D and Qatar Science and Technology Park (QTSP) in order to expand a range of 500 Startups programs to support young fledgling entrepreneurs and their startups.

“The market size is $30 million and that should allow us to invest in about 150 to 200 early-stage startups in the MENA region in the next three to four years. We already had a first closing at $15 million already and we’re having a second closing quite soon with a further $7 million,” Hasan Haider commented.
