Find out the First Arab Country To Adopt Cloud Computing Policy!

The High Information and Communication Committee decided to adopt the cloud computing policy, making the Kingdom of Bahrain the first Arab country to take such an initiative.

The decision was taken yesterday at a meeting by Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa at the Gudaibiya Palace, with the presence of Deputy Premier HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and other committee members that attended the meeting.

Through cloud computing, government institutions can focus on developing their services, which consequently will result in service excellence, elimination of duplications and reduction of operational expenses. According to the deputy premier, staying on track with technological advancements is the basis of Bahrain’s global status in the field of e-government.
