Ex-Careem GM raises seed funding with 10 million SR valuation for their wholesale grocery platform

Saudi-based wholesale grocery platform Sary announced that they have raised seed funding. Although the size of the investment was not disclosed, they mentioned it came at a valuation of 10 million SR.

The startup was founded by ex-Careem GM Mohammed Aldossary, and Khaled Alsiari last year on April 2018, where they first had a soft-launch serving the Eastern Province.

The app is currently on available on mobile phones, and operates in Saudi’s Eastern Province including Dammam and Kobar with plans to expand to different cities now that it has bagged an investment.

Sary was part of InspireU program (STC accelerator) intake 2018-19, incubated by Badir Dammam, and awarded by Oqal as the “Best Startup” in Eastern province.
