Organized for third and fourth year university students, recent graduates and young professionals in the first five years of their career, the program garnered over 220 applications from women vying for the opportunity to attend workshops and speaker sessions designed to help them better navigate a workplace environment.

The program also saw the attendance of experienced female professionals from the MENA region and abroad who shared insights on what it takes to be a successful woman in the workplace.

Participants were given the chance to build their social and professional connections by attending networking sessions aimed at helping them grow and expand their career network.

This program’s objective was not only to raise the caliber of the Bahraini career woman, but also to empower to become her best professional self, and to gain the confidence contribute successfully to the Bahraini workforce.

On the occasion of the event’s conclusion, Dina Shabib, CEO and founder of Etijah Coaching & Consulting Services added: “We feel proud to have been able to organize such an incredible program for women in Bahrain to develop themselves professionally and become better leaders. We hope that with more initiatives such as this in the future we continue to see the Bahraini woman reach even greater strides in the professional sphere.”

Program participant Noor Alaweyat said: “I enjoyed the array of topics that were covered from women who came from different industries like CEOs, Therapists, and more. I also enjoyed how welcoming the Ladies Who Lead program was in terms of listening to everyones opinions and getting their feedback.”

While another participant, Aimen Nasir said “I think I really underestimated how much insecurity impacts women’s careers. LWL (Ladies who Lead) helped me to gain some insight into women’s pervasive struggles with feeling undermined and overlooked. The same patterns emerged over and over again in the participants’ contributions to discussions, and Dina and her guest speakers tackled the issues with kindness and resolve. This was a valuable initiative led by a passionate team, and I’m excited to see how it grows in the years to come.”
