Egypt Hosts “Africa 2017” Forum

Egypt will host a high-level forum to promote trade and investment in Africa. The event will take place between 7 and 9 December in Sharm El Sheikh. It will bring together business executives, investors, and political leaders from Africa and beyond.

The three-day forum unofficially called ”Africa 2017″, will start with a Young Entrepreneurship Day. It brings together young and established entrepreneurs, mentors, angel investors and venture capital firms. The hosts expect more than 1000 delegates.

Next to encouraging cross-border investments, Egypt will showcase some of its flagship mega-projects, among which the construction of the new capital city, 50 km outside of Cairo. It will also announce the project for economic zones in Sinai and Suez.
The forum will enhance the cultural and economic integration of Africa and will support investments in one of the fastest growing regions in the world.

Heba Salama, the director of the COMESA Regional Investment Agency commented:

Africa 2017 will be an unparalleled occasion to gather the architects of Africa’s future and drive further the transformative investment projects of tomorrow.
