Shedul.com, a Dubai-based free booking platform for beauty salons and spas, raised $6 million in a round of Series A Funding. Shedul.com will be using the fund to scale and expand their company’s operation.
The funding round was led by Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP) and back up by Dubai’s BECO Capital, and San Francisco-based Lumia Capital. The platform was launched in 2015, and in less than two years it gained traction where Shedul.com signed up over 40,000 merchants in more than 120 countries.
Cofounder and CEO William Zeqiri said: “Good free software spreads quickly. “We’re solving a critical pain point for small businesses by redefining how they engage with customers through technology.”
