Brinc, the global venture accelerator and Batelco, the leading digital solutions provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain relaunched “Batelco Digital Bootcamp” for 2022 in partnership with Digital Media Academy (DMA), a globally verified elite academy in various universities and countries, after the success of the program in 2021.
As part of Brinc’s mission to enable the youth entrepreneurial mindset and contribute to developing the local ecosystem; Brinc joined forces with Batelco & DMA to launch the one-year virtual program to link students with the Brinc network of Business & Technology experts and learn fundamental entrepreneurial, technical, and problem-solving skills that can be implemented in r their career development.
20 Bahraini students between the age of 17 and 18 (The last year of high school graduates) will be selected to join the program. Participating students will receive one globally licensed certificate from DMA and one certificate for program completion by Brinc. They will also gain access to Brinc’s professional mentors. Students will also receive the opportunity to explore internship opportunities within Brinc and its partners to accelerate their career development.
The program consists of 5 stages over one year to build the students’ knowledge and develop their skills. Stage one, the Coding Bootcamp takes the students through AI and Machine Learning practical workshops for two weeks, enabling them to prototype their solutions and bring their ideas to life.
Participants will be introduced to technical foundations and digital transformation in a form of four Digital Workshops in stage two to gain the latest knowledge in the future of digitalization. Stage three is a Design Sprint to solve a 21st-century problem using research tools to develop their problem-solving skills. Stage four, Entrepreneurial Workshops to empower students and unlock their inner leadership attributes of professionalism, brand identity, and decision-making.
The fifth and final stage is a Hackathon to practice pitching and presentation of their solutions to a panel of judges and crown the winning team as the best tech business solution in the Bootcamp.
Through Batelco Digital Bootcamp, Brinc, Batelco, and DMA aim to continue enabling the next generation of Bahraini leaders with the tools and skills to prosper and accelerate their academic and career development journey.
