AlRawi, a Bahraini-based startup that provides high-quality Arabic audiobooks, just received an award for being the “Best Startup” in the Arab Region at the tenth edition of Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Award’s ceremony which was held in Dubai World Trade Center.
AlRawi was launched by Hala Sulaiman, Ameera Mohammed, and Mohamed Ebrahim back in December 2016, when the founders realized there’s a gap in Arabic content. They launched a website and an app that’s filled with Arabic audiobooks with the aim of creating an e-community that reads and listens to Arabic books.
Furthermore, the startup creates a network where it brings together publishers, book authors, producers, narrators, artists, and studios. They have an expanding network of studios that enables the narrators to record a variety of books and summaries.
