Bahrain Fashion Incubator signs a partnership agreement with Maison De Joelle Bahrain

Bahrain Fashion Incubator (BFI), the first incubator and accelerator in the MENA region to provide solutions for fashion startups, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maison De Joelle Bahrain making it its Beauty Sponsor for the Dilmun Star program. Maison de Joelle, the luxury chain of salons was founded by business woman, Joelle Mardinian, who opened a branch in Bahrain on November 26, 2018. The salon provides services that include hair styling, haircuts, manicure and nails, pedicure, facials, cleansing and more.

The MoU serves as the foundation for future cooperation between BFI and Maison De Joelle Bahrain as the beauty salon begins to support the journey of fashion startups in Bahrain. The Dilmun Star journey gives all 20 participants practical training in fashion design and entrepreneurship with the goal of preparing them to establish their fashion brand upon their completion of the 9-month program which will end in June, 2020.

Maison De Joelle Bahrain will give a Glam Workshop for Dilmun Star participants. In this interactive session, participants will be introduced to the importance of applying appropriate makeup for their look book and collection. During the workshop, participants will learn more about choosing makeup for a photo shoot based on their inspiration. They will get a step by step instruction on how to create a day and night make-up look and the tips and tricks of makeup from Maison De Joelle professional artist.

In addition, Maison De Joelle will prepare the models’ make-up and hair look for the lookbook photoshoot, Pitching Day Event where a panel of esteemed judges assesses each participant’s collection, and the Finale Gala Dinner where a fashion show takes place and three winners are announced.

Mrs. Jalila Aarab, CEO and Founder of BFI commented on signing the MoU: “BFI is pleased to sign this partnership with Maison De Joelle Bahrain as it will provide our participants with the necessary professional knowledge they need about selecting the right Makeup and hair for the models which is one of the most important aspects of the fashion industry.
