Bahrain Development Bank has opened its latest branch in Muharraq Seef Mall. The branch serves small and medium enterprises within Muharraq province and neighboring areas as well as starting and mature entrepreneurs.
Commenting on this, Mr. Nedal Saleh Al Aujan, CEO, has said: “The new branch at Seef Mall Muharraq comes within the framework of the bank’s plan for the current year, which includes a number of initiatives and programs, such as the expansion of the bank’s network of branches and service centers and the opening of new branches. The plan aims to further facilitate access to small and medium institutions, spread a culture of entrepreneurship in all areas, keep abreast of the commercial and economic developments in the Kingdom, and improve the performance of these institutions by taking advantage of the financial services and specialized development services provided by the Bahrain Development Bank Group. In addition, we link our small and medium enterprises to other supporting organizations such as “Tamkeen” in particular, who have their own representatives available at our new branch as part of our partnership to support the entrepreneurial sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain. “
Aujan further explained that this branch provides financial services for small and medium-sized enterprises by a specialized team with the aim of reaching the largest possible number of commercial, industrial and service institutions operating in the Muharraq Governorate in order for them to take advantage of financial and development services offered by the Bahrain Development Bank Group, which include: direct and non-direct funding, equity participation, training, consulting, technical support programs, accounting guidance and incubation.
Aujan also pointed to the excellent infrastructure and environment owned by Muharraq which stimulates investment and business creation. Aujan pointed to Salman Industrial Area, which is a modern investment and industrial area that serves multiple economic sectors and activities. Muharraq area also includes Khalifa Port, Bahrain International Investment Park, Bahrain International Airport and other large industrial and service projects which are under development and are expected to play a major role in facilitating business establishment as well as the expansion of existing institutions. In addition, Muharraq now has a BDB branch at Muharraq Seef Mall, another branch at Salman Industrial City along and the Bahrain Business Incubator Center. The existence of all these institutions in Muharraq clearly reflects the importance of our new branch and the support needed for SMEs and entrepreneurs alike.
