A call out to all SMEs in Bahrain – you’ve got your own clinic now!

Yep, you read right but you probably understood wrong.

Bahrain launches a new program called Business Clinic that aims to support 1,000 Bahraini SMEs and provide them with guidance and solutions to overcome challenges.

This unique program was launched under the patronage of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed Alzayani. The program provides entrepreneurs with consultation and training services to back their projects with minimal cost, time and effort.

According to Stradico Chief Executive Khalil Al Qahiri, the program helps SMEs enhance their service quality which in turn increases their contribution to the national economy’s development.

So far, the program has enabled 80 Bahraini entrepreneurs to overcome economic challenges dude to the low oil prices and to face economic fluctuations of the market at local, regional and international levels.

“We adopt a set of mechanisms to evaluate the companies affiliated with the program to ensure the long-term positive impact of the training courses. Once we designed Business Clinic program, we have been keen to diversify subjects to address various issues concerning entrepreneurs besides providing flexible payment methods of the courses,” Mr. Al Qahiri said.

The Business Clinic program consists of 12 monthly training courses, group workshops and individual consultation sessions for SME owners. It covers a number of topics including management skills for entrepreneurs, quality management systems, sales and marketing, financial management, writing business contracts, human resources management for business owners, information systems, professional safety and performance management.
