$450,000 Raised by Egyptian Startup DentaCarts

DentaCarts is an Egyptian online marketplace in the dental industry which connects dentists with vendors, allowing them to purchase all sorts of dentistry products. DentaCarts is actually the biggest of its kind, not only in Egypt but also in the Middle East.

Having been part of Misk500‘s first cohort, DentaCarts was co-founded in 2017 by Ahmed Yahia and Saad Saleh. The duo has successfully raised an investment of $450,000 from AUC AngelsAsia Africa Investment & Consulting, and 500 Startups.

This unique marketplace consists of a variety of more than 10,000 items on both its application and its website, from clinic furnishing to disposable items on a daily basis.

CEO and co-founder of DentaCarts, Ahmed Yahia, has stated that up to this day, the managed to serve over 1,5000 users in Egypt, KSA, Kuwait, and Kenya, making the total of their orders more than 10,000. As for the number of vendors they currently have, DentaCarts has close to 100 authorized dealers onboard.
