In July 2021, Brinc, a global venture accelerator, selected 20 Bahraini students to embark on a one-year “Batelco Digital Bootcamp” online program in partnership with Batelco, a leading telecommunication company in Bahrain, and DMA, a global prestigious verified academy in various universities. The program aspires to accelerate youth career development and emerging tech talents in the kingdom.
The students graduated from the program receiving DMA and Brinc certificates, internship opportunities within the Brinc network, and free mentorship guidance twice a year from Brinc mentors. The program consisted of 4 phases embedded with interactive sessions and workshops introduced by business and technical experts in the region.
Participants learned technical introductory coding and game development skills within a 4-weeks Bootcamp. Phase two developed their problem-solving mindset and leveraged technological advancement within a 3-day design sprint to adapt and tackle 21st-century obstacles and overcome the ever-changing shift of business and technology. Phase three was a 3-day workshop to connect participants with their inner leadership traits to face the business world with, professionalism, confidence, and strong decision-making skills.
The 2-day eventful hackathon introduced participants to pitching and prototyping workshops and sessions to develop a customer engagement scalable solution to add value to Batelco’s services; and concluded with the students presenting their solutions to Brinc and Batelco jury for evaluation.
Brinc, Batelco & DMA’s continuous partnership strives to enable Bahrain’s youth to become the next generation of visionaries and provide them with opportunities, skills, knowledge, tools, and insight into the tech workforce and exposure to early career resources.
