The first Arabic issue has been launched by Startup Bahrain, the first digital publication in the region for iOS and Android devices focusing on startups and entrepreneurs. This milestone comes follows the publications big successes with its English-only version since its inception in March of 2013 by a small team of highly skilled Bahrainis.
Startup Bahrain’s first Arabic issue launches with an exclusive cover story with Mohammed Jaffar, Talabat’s former owner and CEO. Mohammed recently sold Talabat to the German behemoth Rocket Internet for $170 million and details his recent success and the acquisition with Startup Bahrain. Mohammed also talks about what’s next for him, this region’s future, and the what’s coming in the local food delivery industry.
“Launching an Arabic version of Startup Bahrain achieves a big milestone on our path. We may have been late in publishing the Arabic version of the publication, but we wanted to make sure that we are more than capable of producing and publishing the best Arabic version of Startup Bahrain we can to help reach a bigger and broader audience in this region” said Ahmed Al-Sawafiri, the founder of Startup Bahrain.
