“Ifhamny is a Bahraini game that utilises the basic communication skills in a challenging environment,” said Nawaf Saeed, a young Bahraini Entrepreneur who launched the IT company Synectics 9 years ago.
“This was brought about by the need for a game that gathers family and friends away from their smart devices,” he explained. “It is a straightforward game that unleashes one’s creativity and humour to develop various skills: verbal, visual and body language. The goal is to collect as many points from each round as possible by helping the team members correctly guess the word being described.”
“The main challenge to produce the first batch of the game was the cost,” said Nawaf about their experience in developing the game. “The next challenge was market penetration. Promoting a game that is not tech-based was difficult.”
When asked about giving an advice to aspiring entrepreneurs, Nawaf had this to say, “I encourage them to start working on their business plan, development and recruitment while employed. Then gradually move out when the business is already in shape to sustain them.”
