Startup MGZN spoke to Amal Janahi, the founder and managing director of AJ Events & PR, an event management company, and PR service company that will surely change the way you view event planning. Amal Janahi is extremely passionate about event planning and decided to start her own business AJ Events & PR in 2016. Prior to that, she founded TAKATOF Events Management in 2012 – with help of Hidd BIC and support of Tamkeen. She has 18 years worth of work experience under her belt in different fields and positions, from sales & marketing all the way through to commercial & project management. With her new company, Amal wishes to spice and spruce up not only your work-related events but also the event management industry.

There are no limitations when it comes to the types of events that AJ Events & PR is willing to manage, be it corporate events, conferences, workshops, exhibitions… the sky’s the limit. They also will handle everything from the ideas and themes all the way down to marketing, branding, and production – the whole shebang!

When we asked Amal about what AJ Events & PR do differently she told us “AJ events & PR is a one-stop event management service, we are unique with services as we take care of the whole event from A to Z adding our consultation service to improve the quality of the event at the same time minimizing the cost. We build trust with our clients, and that’s why all our clients are loyal and keep coming back to us.”

We know very well how hard and challenging it can be to launch your own business, especially when it comes to finances, support and expertise. Although, according to Amal, Tamkeen made it a whole lot easier. “Every Bahraini should be proud; we live in a very healthy market where there are a lot of tools to support those who are ready. When I started, I was ready to go through the most difficult experience and challenge to become a successful business owner especially financially as every new business should. Tamkeen was the golden ticket towards successful business with less financial obstacles, lower risk, and faster growth.” Amal says.

Their kick off was at the business incubator supported by Tamkeen, where they paid only 30% of the rent, and Tamkeen, Amal states covered the rest. She believes that because of Tamkeen’s help AJ Events & PR was able to grow to what it is today, an epic event and PR company. “Tamkeen helped our business spread in the market, and more people got to know about us. Tamkeen allowed us to stand out in the market in a shorter period to compete with our competitors easily. What we could do in 5 years we managed to achieve in 2 years with the available supporting tools.”
