BBBF Launches New Special Interest Group for Women in Business

Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported on the launch of the ‘Women in Business’ special interest group (SIG) as part of the Bahrain-British Business Forum (BBBF) in collaboration with Capital Club. The group aims to empower women in the business realm, enhance their professional capabilities, enable them to share knowledge on local and global markets, encourage entrepreneurship, and consolidate bilateral relations.

The opening session featured a panel discussion on the “Opinions of women leaders on business sectors.” Among the speakers were Director at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, BIBF, Solveig Nicklos, the General Manager of the Westin Bahrain City Centre and Le Méridien Bahrain City Centre, Anna-Marie Dowling and the Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director of Obai and Hill, Wafa Al-Obaidat.

The participants discussed ways to take advantage of the best international practices in the Middle East, the impact of regional culture in global markets, as well as ways to enhance leadership skills.
