Hussain Al Alawi loves sandwiches – that explains why his first venture, BAM (Baguettes and More), would be all about his favorite food.
“I always find great delis,” explained Hussain. “I’m quite health conscious and I like sandwiches, but being here in Bahrain, the choice is limited. There are hardly any places where you can get a truly satisfying sandwich.”
“If you have an idea or a dream and you think it is interesting, follow it. I felt there was a need for BAM,” he said. “BAM is not your ordinary sandwich shop, it’s a lot more. It’s all about fresh ingredients and tasty food, served with a smile. It’s a cliche but service is extremely important, and the way you deliver it makes all the difference.”
“Our main focus is to offer tasty food to our customers without compromising quality,” Hussain explained. “We have different types of sandwiches, everything from cold cuts to warm and toasted.”
“One of the biggest challenges before be launched was selecting the ingredients because I’m very picky and wanted only the best,” Hussain admitted. “The other challenge was keeping the prices competitive. If you have the will and the determination, nothing is impossible.”
